Instantly Organize Financial Statements and Bills

FileThis’s tagline is, “Manage less. Live more”. FileThis is an online application that helps you manage and organize online accounts such as bank statements, invoices, receipts, and insurance policies. After entering your username and password, FileThis collects, organizes, and stores your invoices and statements online. It is as simple as that.
FileThis takes care of organizing the documentation in its cloud storage, or you can select various cloud storage options, such as Dropbox or Google Drive, while making sure the documents are secure. The documents will arrive at the cloud storage provider organized by account type or invoice. In addition, FileThis lets you know when your invoices are due and what the account balances are.
The free version, which is what I utilize, allows a user to connect up to six institutions. For example, my wife and I have several accounts at Charles Schwab and Vanguard. Even though we have more than six accounts at both institutions, each institution only counts as one connection. There were very few issues at any of the institutions. Once I entered my username and password, FileThis took a few hours to collect and organize several years of documents in Google Drive. One additional caveat is FileThis must support the institution you want to connect to. You may find that smaller firms or city utilities may not be supported by the application. Regardless, you should have no issues connecting to any national or regional firms, most of which are well represented.
The FileThis interface is straight forward and easy to use. Do not expect a lot of bells and whistles for customization, not that you need it. The naming conventions work well, organizing the statement in chronological order. Of the six connections I use, only Vanguard gave me some issues to set up. Should something arise, you can log into your FileThis account and re-enter your username and password.
FileThis checks every box. The application will help to gather and organize financial documents, keep you up to date on paid and unpaid invoices and it will do these tasks securely. As you will quickly learn, using FileThis will be one of the easiest and most rewarding decisions you will make.
